Supreme Roastworks offers no-fuss, great coffee with a focus on high-quality products and expertise in brewing techniques.

Fuglen first emerged as a coffee shop in 1963 (back then under the name Kaffefuglen). Ever since then, high-quality coffee and tea have been an essential part of our brand and business. When the bar was renovated and reopened as Fuglen in 2012, it was important for us to preserve the original Kaffefuglen. Therefore, the bar and the wallpaper itself are original from 1963, while everything else is either vintage mid-century pieces or specially handmade with the same materials and remodelled after the mid-century design era. The original Fuglen still serves as a blueprint when we open flagship bars in new cities.

Fuglen Oslo Sentrum

Fuglen Gamlebyen is a combined coffee bar, cocktail bar and coffee roastery. Here you can get fresh coffee from 07:00 in the morning, work or read, hang out with friends, enjoy live jazz all year round, and experience small-scale urban food production. This roastery is roasting and shipping coffee to bars and restaurants in Europe and North America.

Fuglen Tokyo Tomigaya opened in 2012 as the first Fuglen Tokyo bar, and we have been a popular neighbourhood gem ever since. Come by to try our light roasted coffee, baked goods, Norwegian brown cheese, and cocktails from 7am every day.

Fuglen Asakusa opened in 2018 as the second Fuglen bar in Tokyo. We serve coffee and food every day from 8am, including the renowned Fuglen waffles with brown cheese! Like most of the Fuglen bars, this bar is also a vintage design shop — everything you see is for sale: chairs, tables, lamps, plates, glasses and knick-knacks! The interior is mainly Scandinavian design from the 50s and 60s, curated by Norwegian Icons.

Fuglen Asakusa

Fuglen Noborito is a combined coffee roastery and coffee bar. We focus on sourcing the highest quality, most unique and freshest coffee available for the season. Our Tokyo roastery is shipping delicious, light roasted coffee to shops, bars and restaurants in Japan and the rest of Asia. If you are located in Norway, Europe or North America, you can get your coffee from our Oslo-based roastery.

Fuglen Hanegi Koen opened in 2021 as the first Fuglen Coffee Stand. This is a small gem located located south of Hanegi Park, where you can enjoy the vast number of beautiful plum blossoms in spring. The park also allows you to feel the changes of the seasons throughout the year.

Sangūbashi is a quiet residential neighbourhood, just a short walk from Shinjuku and Shibuya, and yet it feels a world away from the city’s hustle and bustle. We opened Fuglen Sangūbashi in January 2024, transforming a 59-year-old wooden house into a space for customers to slow down and savour coffee.

Fuglen Sangūbashi, our sixth outpost in Japan, is a fresh departure from all the other Fuglen cafes. The concept is to pursue the essence of coffee beans at the deepest level. Here, we use the same coffee beans we have at our other locations, but we extract richer tastes, aromas and textures from them. Since we established our own roasting operation in Japan in 2014, we have been managing every process in-house from sourcing to brewing, which led us to realise that high quality coffee beans have truly rich characters. But, there is a limit on the time and equipment to make a cup of coffee for each customer in a standard cafe operation. We created Fuglen Sangūbashi as a place to draw out the maximum potential from our coffee beans by taking extra time and steps in preparation and brewing.

Fuglen Sangubashi

Fuglen Fukuoka is a brand new bar in the heart of Fukuoka City.

This café is our first on the island of Kyushu and it's located on the first floor of the newly completed Hakata East Terrace building. The building is the first project of the 'Hakata connected' redevelopment promoted by Fukuoka City. This is our second biggest location in Japan after Fuglen Asakusa in Tokyo. With its high ceiling and many seating options, it's an open and inviting space where for our guests can spend quality time and relax.

After much anticipation we are thrilled to announce that Fuglen’s first ever coffee bar in South Korea is open. Fuglen Seoul is located in Sangsu, a vibrant neighbourhood full of shops, cafes and bars that attract both locals and visitors from overseas. We have taken over a single-storey standalone structure in a quieter corner located at the end of the Hongdae District by Sangsu station and refurbished it into the classic Fuglen space.

Located in Seongsu, Seoul — where new brands, sensibilities, and diverse tastes naturally come together — it offers a coffee experience that leaves a clear impression, even in a brief moment.

Designed to be encountered naturally within the flow of the city, it is a place where people can pause and experience the good coffee and warm atmosphere that Fuglen values.

Fuglen has opened its first cafe in Jakarta, Indonesia on 23 November 2024, making Indonesia the third overseas market to enter after Japan and Korea.

A ten-minute walk from Daitoku-ji temple, Fuglen Kyoto is a small coffee stand situated on Kitayama Dori in the tranquil residential neighbourhood called Shichiku. Away from the bustling city centre, it’s a cosy area with a sense of neighbourhood where the time flows at Kyoto pace. 

Here, we took over the former site of a local Japanese confectionery shop that had a small factory in the back. The coffee bar has a small table seating and bar counters complete with outdoor benches. We are open from 7am to 6pm everyday, serving coffee, tea and pastries, as well as a small selection of beer and wine.
