Fuglen first emerged as a coffee shop in 1963 (back then under the name Kaffefuglen). Ever since then, high-quality coffee and tea have been an essential part of our brand and business. When the bar was renovated and reopened as Fuglen in 2012, it was important for us to preserve the original Kaffefuglen. Therefore, the bar and the wallpaper itself are original from 1963, while everything else is either vintage mid-century pieces or specially handmade with the same materials and remodelled after the mid-century design era. The original Fuglen still serves as a blueprint when we open flagship bars in new cities.
