kavafamily is a specialty coffee roaster and coffee community from Split, Croatia, focused on sharing carefully prepared coffee and creating warmth and connection around every cup.
kavafamily's story
kava.family was founded by Ivana and Marko, a couple who fell in love with specialty coffee while shooting weddings around the globe. Back home in 2018, they rented a small neglected space in Hvar, renovated it themselves, and opened their first shop, named kava 37. Today kava family consists of three parts: kava 37 in Hvar, plus kava 2 and their roastery kava RO, both in Split. Their coffee packaging carries personal touches, including an image of Marko's late father from 1965, the year he moved to the part of Split where Marko grew up. The business is guided by a simple motto: roasting and brewing beautiful coffees from beautiful people for beautiful people, with an emphasis on hospitality, community, and respecting everyone involved in the coffee chain.
