Aksum – Out of Africa is a Brussels-based coffee concept inspired by the ancient Kingdom of Aksum, historically known as a crossroads of trade and culture. Since 2001, the business has focused on delivering authenticity and excellence through a curated selection of Ethiopian coffees, teas, chocolate, and artisan goods. Their coffee is sourced directly from Ethiopia and roasted locally in Brussels by a family of passionate roasters, emphasizing quality and origin. Beyond coffee, Aksum offers a broader cultural and sensory experience, including handcrafted pastries, Moroccan crêpes, and a selection of African-inspired artisan products such as candles, baskets, and designer items. The space also hosts photography exhibitions, reinforcing its identity as a cultural hub. Aksum blends hospitality, craftsmanship, and heritage into a refined experience centered on African flavors and artistry.
